1940 Mauser

| I bought this 2nd Luger in Dallas, Texas at a gun show on my way from one military
assignment to my next assignment about 12 or 14 years ago. It is mismatched, yet
with two sets of numbers, whose numbers do match which is a bit funny. It is a Mauser,
barrel marked 1940 military model, 4 inch. It has okay bluing, but has seen use and
has a history, which I enjoy. Recently I cleaned the grips which made a nice difference, as a lot of dirt and grime had collected on them over the years. I have shot her many times and it fires best with good ole FMJ, unlike my Artillery, which seems to feed with about anything. Photos courtesy of Edward Tinker |
